While I celebrate the Fourth of July by sitting alone at work, I will tell you a bit about the on-goings of my life:
~I got a new job at the medical center in McMinnville. It is a part time deal where I'll be working at the front desk 2 days a week. I will have the potential to work more later on, but going from working 45hours a week to anything less sounds like a good deal to me. It is also 25 minutes closer than my current job and perhaps within biking distance if I feel like taking my life in my hands and biking on Hwy 99.
~Jackie-O is still a dog. She hasn't turned into our first born child yet... but who knows.
~The Recycled Arts Festival went really well. Vancouver, WA is such a beautiful city anyways, but the weather was perfect. It drew a great crowd and the vendors and customers were all pleasant to be around. I sold a good amount of merchandise so I will certainly be spending much of my newly aquired time on creating more flatware sets.
~The Blues Festival in Portland was also splendid, we were there yesterday afternoon with our friends Dave and Jodi. It was a scorcher though. I think I drank 3 gallons of water while I was there which resulted in a disapointing amount of port-o-potty visits.

Happy (belated) fourth to you too!!!
ps: Matilda hasn't turned into our first born child yet either....to the disappointment of our parents.
pps: YAY! for having to work less hours and closer to home! I dream of being able to walk/bike to work. 'sigh'
