Property Managers and Field Trips

Matt and I have been living in a rental for the past year where our landlord is a property managment company. It is fairly easy to deal with because everything is automated and there is protocol for everything. Since we have the Jackalope, they require us to have our apartment inspected every 6 months or so, just to make sure we aren't traning our dog to use our spare room as a toilet.

This can be fairly annoying because they say that they prefer you to be present upon inspection, but they give you an 8 hours window of time that they will be coming over. Instead of taking a whole day off work, I took the passive approach and just left the door unlocked and took Jackie to work with me. She is usually pretty shy and will just sit in the corner of the room and stare at people, but she's been having a grand old time sniffing around. She even got a ball from my co-worker in the office next to mine. Right now she's snoozing off the lunch that we spilt, but I'm sure she will be up and inspecting the other offices soon.

I have a meeting in a half an hour and I think that I will bring her and use her as an enforcer. If people try to interupt me she'll just use her beagle bark to let them know that they are over the line. We could go a long ways together.
