Traveling for Christmas this year could have been worse, but not much. Luckily we had quite a bit of help from our family, but it was still no fun getting up at 3am, delayed flights, sitting in the plane for 2 hours before it took off, having a 2 minute lay-over, angry Russian passengers... ect.
Since it was such nasty weather in McMinnville before Christmas, I got a few days off work and then our vacation after that. Today is my first day back in almost a month! I'm surprised they remembered who I was when I walked in the door. I actually felt pretty fortunate to have the first week before Christmas off because I locked myself in the house for a week and sewed, posted and shipped a few dozen items for my etsy shop.
I'm quite happy to be home now and so is Jackie-O. She wasn't sure if she was ready to warm up to us again after leaving her with my brother for 2 weeks. We eventually convinced her with excess scratches and hugs.
