Jackie decided that we have been working too hard this summer and we needed to get lost. She wanted to go out to the countryside surrounding our small town and see what it had to offer. My first instinct was not to drive when we didn't have to with the price of gas... blah blah... complain complain, but alas, we did.
It didn't take long to escape the pavement, but Matt had to stop about every other mile so I could take some photos. It was a hazy, beautiful day, perfect for perusing wine country.
It ended up being a wonderful drive and we even found a nice walking trail/logging road to explore. It was a relaxing day. Score one for Jackie.
