Flying Fancies

This morning I woke up to the geese again. Over the past few days, dozens of flocks have flown over our new house, migrating I think. Matt and I went out to watch them the other evening and they streched across the entire sky. I felt like I had just moved into a house right next to God's geese airport. They are pretty amazing birds.

We live on the edge of town in a newer and pretty bland residential area. I like it a lot more than I thought I would because it is so quiet. I heard someone playing some early beatles music outside my window tonight as I was sewing buttons back on Matt's sweater and I was suprised. I stopped at first and thought, "what the heck is that noise?" then I realized that the neighbors teenage girls were probably going through the same young Beatles craze that I myself am guilty off.

We were up in Portland for my grandma's 80th yesterday and I noticed there were a LOT of geese. Maybe the bizarre weather has them thinking it's time to fly south again. Are you starting to feel at home up there? What ever became of the airstream?
Matthew and I are expecting our first offspring this November. I've been puking for 6 weeks straight- this baby must be having quite the party in my belly! I was quite excited about your shout-out to carrots in the last post... one of the few things I can eat these days.

Kate is just beginning her early Beatles phase. I'm very happy... I would take the early Beatles over children's music any day. Most children's music makes me want to beat my head against a wall while screaming, "Make it stop!"
