Just One of the Guys

Androgyny seems to have been began it's popular spree in the 80's, or with Twiggy, but I think it has reached it's peak in the first decade of our youthful century. The most confusing part of driving in downtown Eugene, is trying to figure out if it was a man or woman that just jaywalked in front of your screeching vehicle.

How far have women come in this country? You decide. Tonight on 20/20

Brielle. Are you still a conservative? I'm just wondering because all of our Dordt friends are liberals...uninformed liberals.

I'm an independent, but to be honest, I would look far, far right compared to our fair skinned college friends.

It is easier to be uninformed, right or left, but the ability have a conviction but not need everyone to agree with you seems to be the most valuable attribute. I don't know very many people like that.

Brielle, I hope you're working on a base tan.

Conviction is definitely lacking for many in our generation. My hope is for an open-minded conviction in searching for the betterment of this country. Hopefully the interests in "fringe" candidates this time around will push the country into more bi-partisan politics.
I think that the more that people realize there is no one right way to run a country, the better. It is the "my way or the highway" attitude that leads nations down the wrong path. I guess this latter view is what I would call uninformed.

Oh yes, the cardinal value of our generation: open mindedness. What is that?
