It has finally gotten hot here in Eugene. It seemed like summer just wouldn't get here and make my plants grow. They are finally giving us veggies and we eat from the garden every night. Matt has been won over to tomatoes because ours are the first that he's eaten that have had much flavor.
The fourth of July was really fun. Monday we floated down the river with my siblings, Matt and our friend Luke. We had so much fun that we went again on the fourth with the same people plus Simon, Ashley, and Kurt. We didn't all have rafts so we took some airmattresses and lifevests. We tied them all together and had a raft for our cooler and trash. The airmatresses didn't get us any respect from the frat boys and sorority girls all lubed up with olive oil, but we were the only ones that didn't bite it on the first rapids.
Next week some of my friends are having their wedding. I am their guest book attendant. Yes, I am very special. So I will be getting my hair and makeup done for that. I also have an appointment to be fitted for my "guest book attendant" gown tomorrow. I'm a pretty big deal.

I just laughed thinking about those college idiots getting flipped in the river and then being attacked by your horde of man-eating ducks (we all know that's why you have them).
hot house tomatoes in the stores are the worst... i'm glad you won him over to the true delight that they can be
